Web site policy statement

(General background information  This policy applies to the US specific website (address below) that is designed for our direct customers (laboratories) with information on products, catalogs, Directions for Use, etc., and as such is the most logical place for us to post a HIPAA policy statement.  Our other US specific web sites are designed for either the patient or physicians, who are covered by our laboratory partners' HIPAA policies.)

In the process of providing service and support, Phadia may at times have access to electronic data, report slips, and/or manually recorded data.  Some of this data may contain Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined in the HIPAA statutes.  This access may occur either on site by Phadia's authorized Field Service Engineers and/or Technical Support personnel or remotely through various forms of data exchange.  We will strictly limit the use of any data containing potential PHI to providing service and support to our clients. We recognize the need to maintain that information in the strictest confidence and to comply with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
